Dear Sponsors of the Lancefield Motorcycle Run,

Let me take this opportunity to thank our past sponsors, for their very generous donations to this unique event. Many of you have been with us from the first ride in 2008 and we look forward to your continued support in the future. In 2011 we raised $22,000 & a combined total of $60,000 since 2008 donated to many children in need.

For new sponsors, a word about us. This is a professionally conducted annual event, led by The Lancefield Motorcycle Run inc. We are a non for profit organisation, run by a group of passionate & community minded people and their families who enjoy riding motorcycles combined with raising money for children’s causes & generating interest in Lancefield, Romsey and the surrounding districts.

On Sunday 19 February 2012 we are riding again for the “Amber & Kaya Muscle Run” another great cause, actually TWO, beautiful little children that need our help, who both suffer from different forms of degenerative neuromuscular disorders that require regular medical attention and support. Amber 8yo has Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) disease and Kaya 8yo has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), further details on our website or at www.cmt.org.au and www.mda.org.au. Once again all money raised will be donated directly to both these children to help with their ongoing medical expenses and improve their quality of life.

We offer 5 main levels of sponsorship, however any donations of cash or prizes are greatly appreciated.

Bronze: Cash or Prizes up to the value of $200. Your business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website & recognition on the day of the ride.

Silver: Cash or Prizes value between $200 – $500. Your business name & ph# will be printed onto the lower back of our event T-Shirt & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website & free T-Shirt, Stubby holder & recognition on the day of the ride.

Gold: Cash or Prizes value between $500 – $1000. Your business name & ph# will be printed onto the middle back of our event T-Shirt & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website & free T-Shirt, Stubby holder & recognition on the day of the ride.

Platinum: Cash or Prizes value between $1000 – $3000 Your business name & ph# will be printed onto the Top back of our event T-Shirt & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website, free T-Shirt, Stubby holder & recognition on the day of the ride.

Main Sponsor: Cash only donation of $3000 plus. Business name & ph# printed in prominent position on front & top back of the event T-Shirt, business ad on our event Flyers & business details including links to your website added to sponsors link on our website, free T-Shirt, Stubby holder & recognition on the day of the ride.

The sale of our T-Shirts helps to promote your business, our event and is a significant contributor to the funds raised on the day. Cut off date for T-Shirt sponsorship is mid December 2012. All sponsorship money must be received by this date to allow the T-Shirts to be printed on time for the big ride.

Show n Shine 2011

Saturday 26 November 2011, our first Show n Shine was held at the Romsey Hotel, many thanks must go to Jim, Rob and staff at the Romsey Hotel for letting us stage the event at the Hotel and the way all staff showed their great hospitality, help to make this an enjoyable day.

It rained and rained and rained again, by 9am we were finished setting up, and it looked like we might have needed an ark to host any bikes and people who might have showed up. But plans had been made, promises to keep and we went ahead, rain, hail or shine, luckily we had a bit of sunshine and no hail.

True to biker form the dedicated riders amongst the fraternity stared rolling up, by 10.30 we had 4 bikes, 3 all the way from Bendigo and by lunch time their was 28 bikes on show. The rain finally dissipated, the band ‘Marvin & the Vague Sensations’ played some great music and we had over a hundred people mingling around and enjoying the days event, in the end it turned out to be a great day. Both Kaya and Amber were able to attend at different times during the day and we were able to introduce them to the crowd. We ended up with 9 Trophy’s and some great bikes to choose from, thank you to the riders who braved the weather to help make this a great day. We will definitely be doing it again next year, lets hope the weather gods will be kind to us.

A big thank you also to all those who help put this day together, Frank from, Doria Bros. Transport who kindly donated the use of their truck for the band, even though we didn’t use it because of the rain. The Romsey/Lancefield Lions club for providing the BBQ and cooking all the food, fantastic effort. The boys who assisted with Traffic Management, standing in the rain, we couldn’t put these events on without the help of our fantastic volunteers. Thank you to Anette and the Kilmore Arts Society for the donation of 5 sets of paintings for a raffle with all money being kindly donated to the ‘Amber & Kaya Muscle Run’. Podge from V Twin Thunder for being the Judge on the day. The band, the people who came down in their cars to show support for what we are doing and all the committee members.

Merchandise. DVD’s. You Tube Clips

The 2011 DVD is now available with over an hour of fantastic memories and images of the the days riding and events.

Each DVD contains over 45 minutes of footage of each Ride, set to some fantastic rocking music and also includes a collage of photos of bikes, people and places visited on the day.

If you came on any of these rides then you’ll be sure to see yourself, your friends or your bike on these high quality DVD’s, you will not be disappointed.

Many Thanks must go to the Production Teams, who have volunteered many many hours to each DVD. Hours of filming and post production and editing to bring you a keep sake of the fantastic rides in 2011, ’10 & ’09.

Welcome to the Lancefield Motorcycle Run. We are an incorporated non for profit charity organisation, with affiliation to Motorcycling Australia (M.A). The Lancefield Motorcycle Run encourages all riders to register as a M.A. members and avail yourself of there many benefits. For more information check out there website at www.ma.org.au

The Lancefield Motorcycle Run is a non for profit organisation, run by a group of community minded people and their families who enjoy riding motorcycles combined with raising money for children in need. We want to share our enthusiasm for riding motorbikes with other bike riders no matter what there age, skill level or type of motorbike and combine this love of riding with raising money for children in need. Since 2008 we have hosted over 800 bikes and riders and raised over $60.000, a huge effort from all involved.

We thank ALL our volunteers, sponsors and participants who have been involved in this event has involved in any way, without your support this event would not be possible.

The Lancefield Motorcycle Run IS NOT A RACE, it is a social ride with family and friends to raise money for a charitable children’s cause. We ride through some of the best scenery central Victoria has to offer, with great people, family and friends with the bonus of some and fantastic prizes and cash give aways, and once again all for a great cause, kids in need.

This is a professionally controlled event with experienced riders leading the ride. All those participating need to be licensed to ride and be riding a legally registered and roadworthy motorcycle/vehicle and must follow all Victorian road rules and regulations.

As responsible riders we need to acknowledge that riders of all ages and differing levels of riding experience/skills participate in this event. For those participating or considering coming along you need to be aware that reckless, irresponsible, show boating, illegal or unsafe riding WILL NOT BE TOLERATED under any circumstances, we ask our fellow riders to help make this a safe ride for all.

We ask that all riders participating to respect these conditions and enjoy the day so we can ALL return safely home to our families.

We ALL need to take responsibility for safe riding practices which not only includes how we ride, but wearing the correct safety gear including Helmets, Boots, Jackets, Pants and Gloves, which will greatly help reduce the risk of serious injury should you be involved in an accident.

The Lancefield Motorcycle Run committee and Motorcycling Australia strongly encourages responsible and safe riding practices and asks all those participating in the Lancefield Motorcycle Run to do the same.

Not able to help out with a cash sponsorship/donation but would still like to contribute in other ways then why not consider donating a Prize or Gift Voucher. Throughout the ride we give away many fantastic prizes that have been kindly donated by our generous supporters

Donation of Goods or Services

As you can appreciate putting on an event like this costs money, for the Lancefield Motorcycle Run to to operate smoothly and offer all those participating an entertaining day we need to source many of the goods and services we use leading up to and especially on the day as either in kind donation or at greatly reduced or at cost prices.

We are always looking for ways to maximise the total amount we raise and give to our chosen children’s cause. With this being our goal we endeavour to source the many goods and services we need through local services and businesses. The Lancefield Motorcycle Run committee understands that business and services need to make money too, but greatly appreciate any contribution you can make.

Types of goods and services we need/use include but not limited to are, Groceries, Drinks, Meat, Bread, Bands, Sound Equipment, Printing, Stationary, Signage, Safety Clothing, BBQ’s and BBQ Equipment, Trophy’s and expertise that would help in the running of this type of event, etc.
