A little about us

The Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run Inc. Is a social group of community minded people who love to ride their motorbikes. ( We are not aligned to any other club or group). We want to share our enthusiasim for riding motorbikes with other bike riders no matter what there age, skill level or type of motorbike. We have combined this love of riding with raising money for worthwhile children’s causes.

The Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run IS NOT A RACE,  it is a social ride with family and friends to raise money for a good cause. As responsible riders we need to acknowledge that riders of all ages and differing levels of riding experience/skills participate in this event. For those participating or considering coming along you need to be aware that  reckless, irresponsilbe, show boating, illegal or unsafe riding WILL NOT BE TOLERATED under any circumstances. This is a controlled event with experienced riders leading the ride. All those participating need to be licenced to ride and be riding a legally registered and roadworthty motorcycle and must follow all Victorian road rules and regulations. We ask that all riders participating to respect these conditions and fellow riders and enjoy the day so we can ALL return safely home to our families.

We ALL need to take responsibility for safe riding practices which not only includes how we ride but wearing the correct safety gear including Helmuts, Boots, Jackets, Pants and Gloves, which will greatly help reduce the risk of serious injury should you be involved in an accident.  The Lancefield Motorcycle poker Run Inc. committeee strongly encourages responsibile and safe riding practices and asks all those participating in the Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run to do the same.

If you feel like you have something to offer to help make the Lancefield Motorcyle Poker Run better and believe you can assist in any way please feel free to join us, the more help the merrier and it helps spread the load. If you cannot come on the ride but would like to donate to this fantastic cause you can contact Peter on M. 0417 596 621 or you can donate directly by using  the Banking details provided on the Register to Ride link. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly towards the cause.

Previous Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run Inc. rides have raised nearly $24,000 dollars for children’s cancer research.

Sponsorship

We are always looking for Sponsors to display in our Sponsors Information Booklet that each registered entrant will receive and carry with them on the Day of the Ride. The Booklet is  A5 size and will contain sponsor’s advertising and information about the ride with a centre page for writing down each card as each entrant receives them on the ride that will make up their poker hand.

Its Just the right size to fit in your back pocket. All those wishing to donate to become a sponsor in the Sponsors Information Booklet will have their Business Card or Ad printed either in B&W or Colour inside the booklet where people will be able to see and read about your business.

This booklet will make a great souvenir and keep sake for those participating. We have different levels of sponsorship, starting with $100 dollars for B&W Business card, $200 dollars Colour Business card. Major sponsorship starts at $500  dollars for a Half page Colour Ad and &1000 dollars or more for a Full page Colour Ad. Plus all Major sponsor’s Logo’s will go onto a Tee-Shirt that will be available for sale.  All sponsors will also be displayed on our sponsors link on our website. For those who have a their own Website we will link your Website to ours. If you would like more information about being a Sponsor of the Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run please ring Peter on 0417 596 621. Those wishing to sponsor/donate will be supplied with an official receipt.

Donation of Prizes/ Gift Vouchers

Not able to help out with a cash sponsorhip/donation but would still like to contribute in other ways then why not consider donating a Prize or Gift Voucher. Donation of Goods or Services

As you can appreciate putting on an event like this costs money, for the Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run to to operate smoothly and offer all those participating an entertaining day we need to source many of the goods and services we use leading up to and especially on the day as either in kind donation or at greatly reduced or at cost prices. We are always looking for ways to maximise the total amount we raise and give to our chosen charities. With this being our goal we endeavour to source the  many goods and services we need through local services and businesses.  The Lancefield Motorcycle Poker Run Inc. committee understands that business and services need to make money too. Types of goods and services we need/use include but not limited to are, Groceries, Drinks, Meat, Bread, Bands, Sound Equipment, Printing, Stationary, Signage, Safety Clothing, BBQ’s and BBQ Equipment, Trophys, expertise that would help in the running of this type of event, etc. If you would like to donate or can supply goods or services that would help us then please contact Peter on M. 0417 596 621 or you can email on lancefieldpokerrun@hotmail.com  so we can discuss what you are able to offer, any donation of goods or services no matter what the quantity would be greatly appreciated.
